The incumbent in this role is a trade and sales expert that is responsible for working with national customer teams specific key channel customers or brokers to drive sales and trade initiatives for the organization. This position will work closely with field sales marketing R&D and operations personnel to ensure alignment with the go-to-market strategy; and will be responsible for the development of effective strategies trade goals segments and customer plans to achieve annual volume and profit plan goals. This position will also work with the finance team in trade analysis and manage the overall trade budget for their respective customer or channel.

Work with sales leadership and marketing teams in the annual planning process to develop the annual trade marketing review for the customer or channel.

Participate in the development of category or customer strategies as well as the selling/marketing/promotional plans for the customer or channel. Ensure timely execution and management of strategy initiatives and the processes' key elements.

Provide sales and trade expertise in the development of customer or broker programs and supporting material. Ensure alignment across sales and marketing teams to ensure effective field sales execution.

Work closely with marketing team to develop annual volume and trade spending plans for the customer's or channel's categories and brands.

Oversee customer or channel trade fund allocations targets and account- specific promotion planning. Manage and reconcile trade funds. Conduct and review post promotion ROI analyses.

Create and communicate all promotional elements to support programs- including the creation of new launch selling tools. Rank track and publish all new launch results.

Track performance on a continuous basis to ensure that volume goals are achieved within trade spending parameters. Review markets with problems and/or areas for opportunity and develop action plans accordingly.

Ensure the continual development of overall category expertise that will position the division as the category expert with customers. Develop presentations that will enhance the customer and division profits.

Manage train and develop subordinates if applicable.

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Years of Related Experience: 7-9 years related experience (preferably in CPG or retail trade industry with HQ sales planning or category management). Experience in a customer facing role (ex. Account Management or Category Management) are a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical background with prior knowledge in trade optimization programs and trade expenditure policies; Strong communication and influencing skills; Strong leadership organizational project management and time management skills; Intermediate PC skills including the Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook; Knowledgeable with industry best practices and programs
