This position is responsible for developing and implementing the national customer specific sales plan in accordance with the marketing plan to attain maximum sales and customer profitability.
Creates sales goals and objectives and submits business rationale in order to secure resource commitments (e.g. budget personnel and business systems) from senior management that will enable execution of initiatives.
Builds and provides leadership to cross functional teams (Finance Legal HR Supply Chain and Operations) in order to ensure timely field implementation of breakthrough innovations.
Drives innovative business solutions that result in organizational improvements and promotes a work environment that fosters creative thinking innovation and rational risk taking.
Creates metrics timelines and deliverables when project scope is changed and communicates revised project expectations and outcomes to senior management and field operations.
Develops an ongoing communication process with corporate staff and field management. Provides progress reports to senior management and relays any major threats to the sales plan.
Builds and maintains relationships that motivate guide and/or reinforce the performance of others toward project accomplishments. Seeks and provides feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
Monitors market trends and competitive activity in the field. Monitors Accounts Receivable Promotional Maintenance and Merchandising Promotional Agreement funds
Negotiates and networks with both internal and external customers to achieve project goals.
Works in conjunction with sales operations department to ensure proper customer sales service.
Manages trains and develops subordinates if applicable.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Years of Related Experience: Minimum of 10 years related experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Competent computer skills in Word Excel Outlook etc. Basic understanding of financial/business/marketing requirements. Lead change efforts for the business. Provides leadership and human resource management to staff. Develops and monitors relationships with store level regional/national accounts. Able to work within budget. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate across multiple team members and groups.
